Cotonou hosts workshop for French-speaking energy regulators

Cotonou, Benin (PANA) - French-speaking energy regulators are meeting in Cotonou to discuss the state of electricity regulation in Benin, officials responsible for the sector told PANA on Thursday.

The three-day meeting, which started Tuesday, involves discussion with stakeholders in the electricity sector about the state of electricity regulation in Benin and on the issue of third party access to electricity transmission and distribution networks.

The status of the networks in the different governance models of the electricity sector, the principles of third party access and user responsibilities, and interconnection access regimes are among items being discussed at the workshop.
